Get ready for the vintage Volkswagen event of 2027!
What a weekend it was! The first edition of the Vintage VW in Flanders Fields Meeting in Kemmel, held in 2024, was a tremendous success.
More than 230 original and period-correct Volkswagens, all built before August 1967, created an impressive and nostalgic atmosphere in the beautiful grounds of Warande Park.
Visitors enjoyed a unique combination of authentic vehicles, the stunning setting around the picturesque Castle De Warande, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that made this event so special. Participants traveled from all over Europe, bringing cars from the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Sweden.
In addition to the vehicle display, visitors could explore a large swap meet, enjoy a variety of food trucks, and relax at the bar while listening to authentic sixties music provided by DJ Cyriel Vinyl.
On Saturday, participants enjoyed an individual scenic drive through the picturesque roads of Heuvelland, around the Kemmelberg, and through Ypres. Along the route, they discovered charming local cafés, breathtaking views, and historical First World War landmarks.
On Sunday, all vehicles were once again on display, and the meeting concluded with an awards ceremony where the finest cars were honored with trophies.
