in Flanders Fields

Get ready for the vintage Volkswagens event of 2024!

Some 235 original and period-correct Volkswagens built before August 1968 will be on display at the Warande Park in Kemmel. We currently have participants from the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland and Sweden.

What makes the meeting in Kemmel so unique is its beautiful surroundings: the vehicles will be exhibited at the picturesque De Warande castle, surrounded by a beautiful 16-hectare park.

Besides the vintage Volkswagen exhibition, there is a parts market and several food and drink outlets. For visitors, there are lots of free car parks nearby.

On Saturday, June 1, there will be a static gathering where participants will display their vintage Volkswagens. Visitors can enjoy the atmosphere with sixties music (DJ Cyriel Vinyl), food trucks and a cosy bar. A playground and bouncy castle will be available for the little ones.

In the afternoon, the Volkwagens take an individual tour along the scenic routes of Kemmelberg, Heuvelland and Ypres. Along the way, they can enjoy the local pubs and restaurants. There will also be stops at the various historical viewpoints and war memorials commemorating World War I from 1914-1918.

On Sunday 2 June, there will be another static event where participants will display their vintage Volkswagens. An awards ceremony is planned after noon and the most beautiful cars will receive a trophy to take home.
